
Ed is a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University where he received his B.A. in Business Marketing. Following brief periods with Exxon and Buckeye Petroleum, he joined the investment firm Paine Webber. Ed continued his studies throughout this period and became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional in 1984. In addition to his securities registration, he is also licensed in both life and health insurance.
In 1987 Ed joined Sparta Group, a financial planning and investment management company specializing in the unique needs of professional athletes and entertainment artists. A proud alumni of Woodstock, he has worked with musicians for three decades.
Ed was co-founder of Skylands Financial Services in June 1989. Skylands was one of the first firms to clear through the newly created “Linsco/Private Ledger”, known today as LPL Financial. As an early adopter to the independent platform, Ed carries a keen insight into the evolution and benefits associated with being an “independent” financial advisor. Ed remained at Skylands for 25 years, before joining Heritage Investment Partners in June of 2014.
